Diane Lee & Associates is exited to introduce our newest service: Movement Rehabilitation - Kinesiology!
Have you ever had an injury that’s kept you from doing the activities you love to do? And after recovering from your injury with the help of your physio or massage therapist, returned to your activities only to get injured again? Movement Rehabilitation – Kinesiology is the bridge between treatment and the activities you love that will help you stay injury free long term!
Our Movement Rehabilitation program is delivered through a collaborative team approach, integrating Physiotherapy and Kinesiology, to support full recovery after an injury.
How does Kinesiology bridge Physiotherapy and RMT?
Within this model, physiotherapy leads the clinical assessment and diagnosis with a whole body/person (ISM) assessment to determine the root cause of your problem, followed by multi-modal treatment (see phyiotherapy service) to restore mobility, improve motor control and reduce pain. Early exercises and movement training support this recovery and set you on your way to achieving your goals. Physiotherapy is often supplemented by Registered Massage Therapy (RMT)). Kinesiology bridges these services with a functional assessment (see below) and subsequent treatment plan, after which structured, supervised, movement-based rehabilitation is delivered by a Kinesiologist which reinforces and progresses the work done in physio and massage therapy.
What to expect in a Kinesiology session?
Kinesiology sessions focus on restoring strength, mobility, endurance, and functional movement through individualized therapeutic exercise programs aligned with the goals you discussed with your physiotherapist. Clients receive guided support to safely increase activity levels, improve movement confidence, and transition to active, independent recovery.
This coordinated approach ensures care is consistent, goal-oriented, and progressive, helping clients return to daily activities, work, or sport leisure pursuits safely and efficiently.
